A.P.P.L.E. Center for Sustainable Living,
Nevada City, CA
The A.P.P.L.E. Center for Sustainable Living (Alliance for a Post-Petroleum Local Economy) is not only a valuable client of Castle Window Covers, their facility is also an official testing ground for the effectiveness of our products. Under scientific tests performed by GreenNet.com, Castle Window Covers have been documented as providing the A.P.P.L.E. Center with over 30% of energy savings since installation in the summer of 2009.
"Since installing Castle Window Covers, not only have we noticed a decrease in energy usage, we have also noticed that the temperature inside stays very stable, consistent and comfortable," says Mali Dyck, Executive Director. According to GreenNet.com, Castle Window Covers is saving the A.P.P.L.E. Center approximately $1.31 per day in the facility, which is only about 800 square feet.
Casa Soberanes, Monterey, CA
A home built with adobe bricks in 1840 by Rafael Estrada, Casa Soberanes is perched on a hillside in Monterey overlooking the beautiful Monterey Bay. In 1860, the Soberanes family purchased the home and lived there until 1922. The home was then purchased by the Serrano family who restored it in the 1920s and 1930s.
Casa Soberanes contains beautiful and historical furnishings, including early New England pieces, China trade pieces and historical Mexican folk art. Castle Window Covers is proud to be a major part in
helping to preserve Casa Soberanes and everything within it.
"The Castle Windows acrylic covers are already proving their worth. Since being installed in Casa Soberanes, the
temperature and relative humidity levels in the muse
um have been stable and the sound reduction from street noise has been reduced to virtually nothing. I originally chose your product for the elimination of ultra-violet light entering the historic adobe, however the added benefits of your product are a preservation bonus."

Miners Foundry Cultural Center
Built in 1855, the Miners Foundry is an historical
testament to the Gold Rush. Still standing in its
original spot, the foundry is now a beautiful home to
countless special events in California's famed gold
country. Castle Window Covers has initiated a window sponsorship program to help the foundry
raise money while maintaining comfortable
temperatures in the foundry building year round.
With every $500 pledge from a donor to the Miners
Foundry, Castle Window Covers donates a window
cover in the donor's honor, helping to save energy costs at the
foundry, all while raising money to help preserve the foundry's
history. "In th
e short time that we have made this opportunity
available, six of the twelve upgraded windows in the Stone Hall
have been sponsored. Each sponsor receives a plaque honoring
themselves, a friend or family member, or their business. The
plaque is then permanently displayed at the base of each
sponsored window. We are taking advantage of this opportunity to
raise money for the Miners Foundry."
Miners Foundry Executive Director,

Deer Creek Inn, Queen Anne Victorian
"After having Castle Window Covers
installed in the rooms at our Inn, the guests
commented on how comfortable and
surprisingly quiet the rooms were. The best
part is the significant savings in our utility
bills while keeping our guests comfortable at
the same time."
Power-Up NC, in the New York Hotel
"As soon as we installed Castle Window Covers, we noticed there were no more cold drafts in our offices. Also, during the hot months, the office stays much cooler throughout the day with minimal use of the AC, so not only do they keep us comfortable, they also save us money on utilities."
Dedrick's Cheese & Gourmet Foods
"It's very important to keep and maintain a constant temperature for our specialty foods and especially our gourmet cheeses. Before Castle Window Covers, the air conditioner had to run constantly, the temperatures fluctuated, and the electric bills were extremely high. Now that the Window Covers have been installed, the temperature inside stays very stable and consistent, plus we now save over $100 per month in cooling costs alone."
Norm W., Historical Home Owner
"I love my Window Covers! I am finally able to sit in my front parlor and enjoy the room thanks to Castle Window Covers. It's no longer too cold in the winter, nor too hot in the summer."
City Hall, Nevada City
"We couldn't believe how quiet it was in our building! Before Castle Window Covers, we would hear the conversations going on right outside. Once the window covers were installed, we couldn't hear them anymore!"
Sierra Watch
"It was nice to be able to save energy and make the office more comfortable without compromising the integrity of our historic building."
